These guidelines pertain to students with 90 units or less, unless the student has already made substantial progress in courses required for the major. Please contact the School of Engineering academic counseling office for more information.
Freshmen who are on track to complete prerequisite coursework by the end of the first year and currently meet the minimum GPA criteria are encouraged to apply immediately.
Students wishing to declare a dual major in the School of Engineering need to meet the requirements of each individual major as listed below, and in addition have an overall GPA of 3.00 or higher. Dual majors are not allowed with either of the two Biomedical Engineering majors.
