Requirements Description
Cumulative UC GPA 2.30 GPA
Course grades Completion of CLS C7 and one additional lower-division Social Ecology core course (UPPP 4, UPPP 5, UPPP 8, PSCI 9, PSCI 11B, PSCI 11C, SOCECOL 10, SOCECOL 13) with a grade of “C” or better in each course.

 

Environmental Science and Policy

Most recent quarterly GPA of 2.00

Course grades Must meet ALL of the following requirements:

  • Completion of one lower-division course in ESS that counts toward the major with a grade of “C” or better.
  • Completion of UPPP 8 or UPPP 5 with a grade of “C” or better.
  • 2.50 minimum GPA for all UCI courses that count toward the major.
  • 3.00 minimum GPA for all transfer courses that count toward the major
Other While this major is jointly offered by the School of Physical Sciences and the School of Social Ecology, all administrative and advising functions for the students will be administered by the School of Physical Sciences Student Affairs Office, with the exception of Field Study placement/advising which will be administered by the School of Social Ecology Student Affairs Office.

 

Psychology – Effective Fall 2025. Prior to Fall 2025, the PSYCHOLOGY major is called PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCE.

Course grades Completion of two lower-division Social Ecology core courses: Crm/Law C7, UPPP 4 or UPPP 8, PSCI 9 or PSCI 11B or PSCI 11C, SOCECOL 10, SOCECOL 13 with a grade of “C” or better in each.

 

Urban Studies
Requirements Description
Cumulative UC GPA 2.00 GPA
Course grades Completion of UPPP 4 and 1 additional lower-division Social Ecology core course (UPPP 5, UPPP 8, PSCI 9 or PSCI 11B or PSCI 11C, SOCECOL 10, SOCECOL 13) with grades of “C” or better in each course.
